Following the approval of the Masterplan, Property Capital partnered with Barratt Homes and David Wilson Homes. A joint planning application has now been submitted for the site, therefore the pre-application consultation has now closed. However, the Council consultation is now underway and a decision is anticipated for Spring 2018. Barratt Homes and Property Capital remain committed to ongoing liaison with the community as the plans continue to develop.

 

The Leyland Test Track site is a major strategic development site with a key role to play in the future of South Ribble Borough. Its regeneration, to deliver new homes and businesses, is identified as ‘crucial’ in the South Ribble Local Plan and as such the site has been allocated in planning documents for mixed use development since 2000. Regeneration of the Leyland Test Track site is also a key part of the Preston, South Ribble and Lancashire City Deal, which aims to secure investment for the region.

 

The application will be brought forward in phases. It will be a hybrid application with the entire site falling under an outline application, which provides the principle for development. The hybrid application will include a detailed application for Phase 1A for the infrastructure and Phase 1B for new homes.
